This was a term used in the original Inside Out movie, but with Inside Out 2 coming out this year, it's reinforced it as a concept, so I think it's going to stick around.

Feels like this term also corresponds with therapyspeak becoming more widespread and common - trauma bonding, trauma dumping, projection, emotional dysregulation, undermedicated, overstimulated, take accountability, hold space, I statements, in my healing era, out of spoons, emotional labor, etc.
